Re: LM18 Houston Tx
The reason for gluing the G10 down while attached is due to the fact that i have two separate G10 plates which have already been tapped. Subsequently, they must be perfectly positioned (relative to each other) in order for the holes to line up. Even a millimeter off would be a problem. Once the glue...

Final received the console base. Looks nice. I will mount a seat in front of the console on the base later. https://i.imgur.com/kiFlfDh.jpg?1 Now for securing to the deck. I cut out two pieces of G10 to match the aluminum plate. I used a tile saw. It is definitely the way to cut G10. Then I drilled ...

Re: LM18 Houston Tx

I sanded it smooth and then taped the area without nonskid and put down the nonskid. But i ran out of non skid material in the middle of the job. Arggg!! i was able t...

Non skid on top deck next. Then varnish the rub rails. Then motor and wiring.
I did find a motor but it doesn't come in until late September.

Cockpit painted and non skid down. I used Softsand and AlexSeal paint. I ended up putting three coats of paint after laying down the Softsand. It looks and feels pretty good.
Next the deck which will be white.

Re: LM18 Houston Tx
Work has kept me away for a while but i made some progress this week. I appreciate all the feedback on the electrical. All good advice. I am now thinking i will install the 12V trolling motor system. As noted by cbuf, I think it will be a good fit for this boat. I just finished some trim work that l...
