She is finished! If the weather works out tomorrow we will try and get her in the water. If not tomorrow then definitely on Sunday. I need to finish the trailer / dolly but we should be able to push it over to the creek. I'm excited to see how she handles the water!

Absolutely beautiful little boat! And the way you trimmed it makes it really stand out.

Very nicely done. Will be great to see what the 5 hp does. Bet it planes.

She floats! We were able to get her in the water for a quick cruise. I was worried about the weight but we were able to easily get her off the trailer and into the water. I bought a strip of indoor outdoor carpet and that worked perfect for dry launching her. The trailer dolly made it easy to get to the creek and I was very pleased with the entire launch process. With my 240 pounds up front and Ben's 115 pounds in the back we could only manage 8 mph and did not get on plane with the 5hp. He took it for a solo ride and managed 15 mph with the boat on plane. Ben then took his 70 pound buddy for a ride and they stayed on plane and cruised about 12mph. I think she would flat out fly with a 2 stroke 9.9. If anyone is looking to sell one or interested in a trade for a 4 stroke please let me know. The boat handles very well and I'm excited for the boys to reel in their first fish in her.

What a beautiful FS12!. Congrats on the launch. Your boys look pumped :D
Check out these guys for pretty good prices on used/new outboards as well. I was initially going to buy a 50hp from them when I build mine, but SWMBO got excited at the end and gave me permission to get a new motor :D
