I was told by Bill Swabe at lightning Yatchs that the design hieght Is 25-27. I went right down the middle. That’s the cockpit of course. It increases a bit as it move forward

Daytrip,

do you cover the boat when youre not working on it? How do you keep tree parts from getting into your glasswork?

I'm Asking because I'm about to start glasswork on a B25 restoration and I will be doing it in my tree lined driveway.

No I leave ala natural. Certain times of the year requires a lot of leaf removal. If something falls in the glass I just pic it out or sand it post cure. I have put a tarp over it in the past but only to keep leafs out

I just read through this build and you are doing some great work. Also the planning, drawings and cad work is really amazing to see. As someone on their first build it’s inspiring to see big jobs like this being done and being done so well. I am looking forward to following along and seeing the finished product

Lots of progress since the last pic. Flipped the hull so I could get the bottom in order. Ground all the gelcoat from the chine down. Faired in the extension by adding glass and then putty once I was within 1/8”. Made a 8’ sanding board. She is straight. Once I was close I added two biax 1700 to the entire bottom and faired it in. Been priming and fairing and will be doing top coat this week. Great feeling. Also designed the console in rhino 3D. From that I designed a jig that is being cnc cut. Should have the parts this weekend

Lots of work has been done. And it looks good too. One big change I note is you are no longer working under a tree.
