Hauled out Skinnydip today to clean her arse.

Rain constantly threatened, so I went hard at, no pic taking on the way. Hull now scraped down and prepped for anti-fouling. Got anti-fouling on from topsides down to first chine.

If rain can be dodged tomorrow, will complete anti- fouling and get her back in the drink.

She looks clean enough to me now :D Remind me again what speed you are getting out of her. And are you finished tuning the prop? I like the haulout set up. How large of a boat will it handle?

Thanks Jeff, Tom and Fuzz. :D

Yes, there is a bit to do to complete Skinnydip's initial build, the remaining big ticket item being getting the prop pitched right for the diesel engine, then re-programming the e-drive given the new prop, then reworking the e-drive's cooling system if and as necessary. Months of intermittent work, which I'm scheduling for early next year.

Fuzz, the slipway is squeezed between the Noosa riverfront walkway and the river itself. The riverfront walkway is Noosa's most popular promenade and coffee house precinct, and Skinnydip received constant attention for two days. I was blown away by how many people knew of and admired her, and wanted to know more about her. :D The slip can handle boats up to about 28'.

My immediate boating priority is to get Great Sandy ship shape and ready for us to go coastal cruising north to Great Barrier Reef waters for the second half of 2021. I put in another half day of preparation on her today. :D

Good deal GB. Follow up question on Great Sandy, since she sits in the water all the time how often do you have to bottom coat her and what do you use?

Normally I haul her out annually for antifouling. Last year I missed due to COVID-19 logistical challenges.

I'm aiming to antifoul her in June or July this year, which will be over a year and a half since the last time in November 2019 - see pic below.

I'm currently using Altex 5 antifoul on Great Sandy and Skinnydip.

Thanks GB, that is a great shot and makes me love the lines of Great Sandy even more.

Reached two milestones today, the first a small relief, the second life-enriching and wonderful.

This morning I finished wooding and sanding Great Sandy's coach house port-light trims. Varnishing awaits.

This afternoon the child bride and I celebrated our fifty second wedding anniversary, long lunching at our favourite beachside restaurant. :D
