Put one layer on then put the 2nd one on top but with the edges offset.
To ther itgh or the left doesn't matter.

I am being stupid again, I know you are ready to scream at me.

I have a 6" piece of tape, the first piece of tape has 4" on one side of the seam and 2" on the other other side of the seam, the second layer of tape would be be layed over the top of that with the offset the other way.

OR

I have a 6" piece of tape, the first piece of tape has 5" on one side of the seam and 1" on the other other side of the seam, the second layer of tape would be be layed over the top of that with the offset the other way.

Thank you for helping me understand this, first time builder.

Like that but does not have to be exact.

I don't think either of you have made large heaps of miscut plywood or destroyed many yards of fiberglass.

It would have been stupid to waste all that and not ask questions. It's smart to ask questions when you don't understand something.

Thanks for the support Jeremy.

BTW, how do you get a picture to show up on the post? I figured out how to paste a link to my gallery, but I want to show pictures here. Help anyone.
