Cape Man's Dory
Re: Cape Man's Dory
Very nice photos. I miss living down that area. How many years ago did you build her? She is still a beautiful skiff, maintaining is the key! These boats do take a bit more preventative maintenance.

Thanks for the updated pictures! Looks like a place dreams come from.

The pictures look great. It’s always an inspiration seeing Clara put through her paces. Thanks for posting them.

Re: Cape Man's Dory
My friend from Colorado finally sent some pics from the annual Cape Sable trip...
Bringing Hermine to the beach after the motor broke (choke rod).
Hermine taking a bait out for shark fishing.
My son throwing the cast net at sunset.
Collection from the beach. Manatee rib bone at the top.
Taking Hermine home at the end...

Thanks for the update on the Clara 'n Craig adventure, for me by far the most interesting build-then-use thread on Bateau2.
Currently building Jacques Mertens ST21 "Skinnydip". Boating adventures: Splash testing and using 'Skinnydip, as a basis of further building refinement; Adams 44’ sailing sloop "Great Sandy" (cruising and maintaining); Iain Oughtred Feather Pram "Mini Dip" (building); Jacques Mertens R13 "Wood Duck" (built and due for maintenance).

Great pictures Cape man. You posted a picture of Hermine taking shark bait out, then a picture of your son as bait? Sorry, casting for bait! I had to re-read it.

Taking one of my students out in the Gulf Saturday. Weather looks great for an offshore run. Kingfish is what he wants. Clara in the deep blue...
