johnnemo GF16
I bought my plans several months ago and I am finally getting around to starting the build. I recently found (8) sheets of 3/8" marine ply locally (a builder that scaled back his project) for a good price and went ahead and bought it. After reading some of the other GF16 builds I have decided to double the bow (2 x) and use 3 layers of ply (1.5 x) on the transom. Does anyone think I am making a big mistake building out of all 3/8" as opposed to the 1/2" and 1/4" the plans call for?

This is as much for my own reference as it is for others. Here are the links to the other GF16 builds I have found on this forum. Please let me know if there are others I have missed.

Cracker Larry,
I'm glad I got to see the pictures before they were removed. Great build thread by the way. I didn't post it in my original message b/c the links weren't working.
However, I would like to build my boat the same way you did your with the glass on the inside extending the full length (installed prior to the bulkheads and seats). Can you post pictures of this part of your build? Any advice about this would be very helpful as it is a departure from the stock plans.
Thanks,
John

Trying to figure out how to post images....
Read this post but seems to be a discrepancy if you are using Chrome as a browser. Going to try it in IE

I keep getting the message "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image." Any ideas?

Re: johnnemo GF16
The image is too large to display it in the forum. There is a limit of 640 pixels in either direction, and the pic in your gallery is 1199 X 676 pixels. You need to re-size it to about 640 X 480 before uploading

Re: johnnemo GF16
Here's a pic of a GF12T getting glass fitted inside, a 16 would be just a bit longer.
