Jorge, Great job. I'll bet the 70HP serves you well. Man what a ride

Very nice! She looks right at home in the water, well, kind of on the water or hovering on the surface. :)

Incredible job Jorge, that is absolutely stunning, if you ever run her aground you know you won't get your calves wet! :D

Wow,, thanks for all the comments.

I have one of those motors on a 5m plate ally boat (fully welded heavy thing) and she runs great, they are really fuel efficient motors.
I think you will be surprised.

Great idea with the drill jig, I'll use that!

Great work.
Justin
Good to hear that Justin, I think you might be right, this boat is basically planing just sitting there lol. Yeah it seems that the Dewalt might have built in the square sides and top just for this purpose ))

Seems the jackplate is at the right height?
Rick, I hope your right. Some TX boys run their motors realy high, even higher than this but they have low water pickups and super cupped props, I'v a feeling if I want to get the full benefit of the plate I may have to go the same route.

Thanks… she is a strange boat for sure but I think for my area will be very versatile.

Quite an elaborate jig to drill some holes. I'm sure I would have eyeballed it, with predictable results.
Yes Siree, it was nice to see her in the water. a couple of boards at right angle and a running guide, not too elaborate :D

Thanks, I hope your right, I just don't see any other boats this long with a 70 lol

Os so little hull above the water, for that matter  It's different but it's cool.

Yeah that lightens her up a lot I am sure.

I was really surprised at how stable she feels when you walk around on her. From side to side and front to back she barely shifts. I don't think I have been on any boat as stable, I'm loving that!
