Its going to look fantastic 8)

A few coats of epoxy, then clear gloss in the same paint you use for the deck. I would only make sure you are pretty close to 100% finished with fairing the deck before you epoxy it down

I have seen flies caught in epoxy but never a cat.

It looks like after jumping up there he made a quick U-turn and exited, stage left. Probably an unwelcome sensation on the paws.

I figure that by now the fairing compound has completely hardened between the cat's toes, and it is one very unhappy cat :help:
