Man, you've got a nice looking boat there.Did you use one piece for the rub rails like I did, and did you find it difficult? Also I moved my console forward 8 in. because from previous experience I know these boats like a little more weight up front.Great job. POST MORE PICS  Evild

Moving weight forward is easy in this boat. I put my fuel tank under the casting deck and my Batt. is going to be below the center console. I did move it up but only 6". I also morphed the two center conlsole designs I got into one. Used the shape of teh c-19 and the width of the Od-16 and added 4" to the seat. The c-19 width was too wide I thought. There is so much storage in this boat.... I am amazed.
I wish you guys had posted some tips about the rub rails last year...Mine I did in strips and I have a kink in both of them that I cannot seem to work out.

I ended up using left over 1/4" ply. I cut a bunch of strips 4 feet long and laminated them onto the boat. The above pictures show only two layers on at the time.

After hearing everyones comments on moving the console, I am now leaning towards doing the same. I am also drawing plans for a swingback seat with storage inside. Nothing fancy, after all, it's only a box, even I should be able to figure it out. By moving the console forward, I should have plenty of room for the seat.

I will try to post new pics soon, I just got back from spending a week at Disney World with the family. Since then, I have been swamped at work. I have all the inside seams taped, and have re-installed all of the molds. I am planning to flip the hull this Friday and begin taping and fiberglassing the bottom.

Harris,

Ever thought about a cooler seat?I'm getting a cooler from BJ's and putting a custion with the swing back rest made from aluminium purchased from home depot. The back rest will be wood covered with Vynal.I think I'll have only about $75 in it,just a thought.Again great job.

hmmmmm a cooler seat is not all that expensive you can pick em up for (about) 175$ sure that is 100 more then your 75$ but it has the bottom to screw to the deck and everything already on it
