Got the second coat of Green interlux on the outside and the second coat of high build primer on the inside.
This was the only mess up. I applied the tape a little to high in this one spot. Easy to fix.
The paint job came out far better than I had hoped. A lot of the imperfections that were visible when painted blue are no longer an issue. I did some spot fairing b4 I repainted so that may have made the difference.
Have to wait a week to start painting the inside. Expecting the teleflex steering stuff today.

Gary, Your boat is looking real good. You're really on a roll now!
Re: Gary's GF18
Great job! You've been flying on this build Did you use Interlux perfection (2 part topcoat) or the one part? How did you like it?
I ask because I just got a coupon where my total cost for interlux perfection would be about $150! (Which is probably less than half the cost of Sterling/Awlgrip)
Thanks,
Will

Will,
I used the Interlux Brightside 1 part polyurethane.
Roll and Tip. Also bought brushing liquid which I didn't need.
I am very pleased with the product and the end result.
I'm not very patient so i read the mfg info for the high build primer. Seems its ok to paint when the primer is fully cured. The test is to wet your finger and drag it over the primed surface. If there is no residue on your finger its cured.

Re: Gary's GF18
Thanks for the compliments I also think the colors look great.
My 10 year old son AJ thinks it looks like crap and he's upset that he was not consulted before I changed the color from the original Blue. He may also want Jacques job because he's not happy with the design of the boat - Not enough comfortable seating for him and thats just the short list.
The rug rats had a bottled water party on my freshly painted boat while I wasn't watching last night. 1st thing I did was pop a few extra high blood pressure pills, shot this picture, kicked them off and then hosed the mud off the boat.
Fortunately no damage done which is a testament to the paint.
Worked on the steering today. Its temporarily installed until I get the final interior coat of paint on.
On we go!

Re: Gary's GF18
Looking good Gary. Boats are to enjoy for the whole family and friends, not just to sit there in yard and look pretty. Get em dirty, they wash clean. I have to hose off the mud every time I use mine, wouldn't want it any other way. We get filthy just catching bait before we even start fishing

What color non-skid?
Using the Kiwi beige and does it "match" the interlux beige?

For better or worse - Kiwigrip White.
Will try to get it applied Saturday if the weather allows.
