Hope you and the child bride have good holidays on Great Sandy.
Hard for me to think of the X-mas holidays happening in the middle of the summer

Thanks cape man, Jeff, Tom and Fuzz for the season well wishes. They are warmly reciprocated.
We've been having an enjoyable break aboard Great Sandy reading, snoozing, eating and boozing.
Today in Skinnydip we visited ground zero of our favourite longer-term oyster reef restoration site. Special place.

Currently building Jacques Mertens ST21 "Skinnydip". Boating adventures: Splash testing and using 'Skinnydip, as a basis of further building refinement; Adams 44’ sailing sloop "Great Sandy" (cruising and maintaining); Iain Oughtred Feather Pram "Mini Dip" (building); Jacques Mertens R13 "Wood Duck" (built and due for maintenance).

Thanks Jeff and Fuzz.
The conventional wisdom is that bright finished boats trump painted ones. My prejudice has been that proportion and line trumps finish.
By chance we anchored painted Skinnydip next to a bright-finished classic American runabout today.
I reckon they both look fine and dandy. But hey, I'm not impartial.

I’d steal both with equal vigor.
