Thanks Jeff.
Below is a happy happy-snap of Great Sandy in Garry's anchorage late this afternoon.
After a day of precautionary small jobs, she's now seaworthy-ready for serious blue water cruising, starting tomorrow at first sparrows!

Thanks Jeff and Tom.
We've spent the last three days sailing hops between three of our favourite anchorages along the north west coast of World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Sunny skies and ideal sailing conditions have blessed us.
Aerial pics below (not mine) are of the Moon Point, Triangle Cliffs and Wathumba Creek anchorages where we overnighted. On route from Garry's anchorage to Moon Point we swam, walked and lunched at North White Cliffs (last pic)

Fuzz, Fraser Island, Cooloola, and the Great Sandy Straits are Great Sandy's home cruising grounds, and we love them dearly, so thanks for your compliment.
Last night, around midnight the moon was near full and bright, the sea calm, and the breeze promising. So we cut and run for Pancake Creek, some 130 nautical miles north. We dropped the pick in Pancake (pic below) this arvo just before sunset. Pancake Creek Lat 24.01.68.S, Lng 151.44.58E.
Tired and contented. Lay day tomorrow.

130 miles in what? 18 hours? Nice way to spend time...

Frazer Island is no more - now officially K’gari!
I guess Australia will be in for a name change next!

Thanks cape man and Barra Man.
Today mtor-sailed 65 nautical miles from Pancake Creek north-west, with the wind on the nose all the way, to Great Keppel Island, the scene, if I remember correctly, of Barra Man's honeymoon deflowering when he was but a sallow youth.
Lee, please re-tell the check-in story, it's a beaut.
