Now Michael, if you had a drone you could send it out over the bar and film Great Sandy crossing!
That would be priceless boat porn to keep the punters here happy!

will you sail across the bar crossing or are you motoring at that point. I watched some videos and it looks like a interesting ride even in nice conditions.
We motored across the Mooloolaba bar at 2am, and motor sailed across the Wide Bay bar just before noon.

Holy mother of ducks nuts Lee, I'm flat out safely crossing these bars without attempting to fly a drone.
We were both stuffed beyond redemption after the two bars in one day caper today, so got our heads down for some shut-eye early this afternoon, and have just surfaced for some diner and a celebratory glass.
Pic shows us abeam Double Island Point lighthouse this morning, a couple of hours from the Wide Bay bar.

316 SS coated in plastic.
Lay day at anchor today recovering. Strong winds dropped out just before sunset.

As I wait for dawn to break it's nice to see tomorrow's sunset. Thanks for putting the wine down long enough to take the picture.

Thanks for taking that beautiful sunset for us. It is museum quality. Can't ask for any thing more as you start your cruise.

Thanks cape man, Jeff and Tom.
We're still hunkered down in Garry's anchorage in the Great Sandy Straits, riding out 3-4 days of strong winds and swells. First time for a long time we've totally relaxed. Just doing small maintenance jobs as our mood dictates. Feeling the better for it.
