I will make a small box for my grab bar. The PVC pipe is the chase tube for the electrical components going to the box.

Should make her nice and tight.
Can’t wait to see what you come up with for cleaning up the center section!

Hey Everyone,
Here is a Foam Cutting update:
I have watched numerous videos on how to build a foam wire cutter but this was my first attempt. I wanted to find a way to cut the middle sections of buoyancy foam from under the sole.
There was definitely a little bit of trial and error. The first design I made of PVC pipe but found that the screws that attached the wire to the pvc pipe would get too hot and melt the pvc pipe. The model that worked was made from some scrap pieces of oak I had at the shop, some spare trailer lighting wire, and a roll of stainless steel wire. The power source was the 12v battery from our forklift. For the most part it worked really well. The only issue I had at the end was my wire kept breaking. I am assuming this was due to the heat and the amount of tension being put on the wire.
Anyway, her are a few photos of the results.

Nice! Also useful, I suspect, in getting people to talk!
Re: FS18 Straight Sheer, Round Chine
All the foam is sanded and ready to be re-sealed with epoxy.

Your boat will be a very quiet and safe, nice work.
