Just a suggestion, I put a small limber hole in the lower edge of each support to keep the water flowing back.
AA,
My original thought was to put a limber hole in the bottom corner but since I decided to cut back the gunwale tops and thus making the supports slightly smaller I didn't have much room to do this. The bottoms of the supports range from 2-1/4" - 1-1/4" so there wasn't much room for the holes. Also, I figured since the bottoms were so small there wouldn't be much an issue with water being held back. Once I get them installed I can always come back and drill holes if need be.
Thanks for the suggestion though!

Nice tight glue up, was hard to tell you had glue behind them.

Reid, my supports were a little skinny also where I notched out the waterways.
The water does flow like crazy when you put in a 3/4” hole.
Yes, you can always poke them through later. Carry on. 8)

I really love how beefy you made your frame/rod holders. Seeing posts in the past where people with rod holders in their frames end up with structural issues but that’s not going to happen to you

Lookin good. I get so confused about these blogz. Whose is whose.

I am so curious where this boat will get used. When I was in Cape Coral; was not too thrilled with the brackish water there. Kinda wonder if I am full of it or if the red tide really raised hell.

Hey Everyone,
Just a quick update before the weekend. I was able to get my decks cut out dry fit. (I did not cut hatches yet). Once I get the hatches cut I will assemble the deck pieces with a fiberglass splice and a butt block and then install the entire deck as one piece.
Have a good weekend!

Hey everyone, I haven't been able to get much done on the FS18. I was able to make the box for the grab bar and got the grab bar back from our welder. He added the mounting brackets for the box and powder coated it. The box will have 2 SS cup holders, a 12 volt plug, bluetooth radio, and the fuel gauge. The flat front of the box will get a back rest cushion for the passenger cooler seat. I sill need to do some additional work on the box (as you can tell by the epoxy bubbles) but here are a few photos to show you the progress. Hope you like it!
