Correct that is enough but the rubrail and the breasthooks are places where you get the opportunity to make it pretty by playing with different wood colors and varnish.

The strip that the decks sit on is continuous all the way around the boat.

I’m not a big fan of the little 2-3” long chunks of wood to glue decks to. To me it’s an invitation to cracks...

I ripped down clear Fir on an angle, approximately 20 degrees, and used 2 lengths per side notched into the bulkheads. If I had 18' material I would have gone the full length. Notched into the bulk heads they barely need clamps.
