I can live with it. The chines are a little wiggly and I think an expert spray guy would do lots better...
...but I have been warned to not learn to spray on a boat and I really don’t have the facility

Remember as the builder you will see every flaw that others miss. You could spend hundreds of hours getting that last 1 percent. To me it is not worth it if you are going to actually use the boat. JMHO

Here is another article of skim coating before primer to fill pinholes. http://www.ez.org/pages/waynehicks/chap ... oating.htm
Maybe it will help you.

I just used neat epoxy and a spatula. It worked ok but I had to do multiple passes.

Hi Fallguy,
Whenever I paint and come across the dreaded pinholes, this is the trick I use;
Mix up a little of your undercoat/primer and then add in some microbaloons to the consistency of toothpaste. Use a small spatula to fill the pinholes with this mixture. It dries very quickly and is very easy to sand flat and fair again. You can then continue with your painting with no concerns of any incompatability!
Cheers Reefie
