They have already closed a few schools here in the Houston area due to cold (maybe mid 30s). But to get humidity below 60% causes us to start drying up! It was 67% for a few days and my skin is drying up and my lips are getting chapped!

Yep it is lots colder for lots of you guys than it is here. Got a little snow last night but it is still way too warm here for this time of year. The cold is getting pushed out of Alaska and dropping down through the midwest. It is so warm here the bears are still out and not in a good mood. :help:

I don’t know... we ran out of Irish cream for the coffee one morning while I was visiting fuzz. They think the bear will recover eventually.
My already completed 'Lil Bit'. A Martens Goosen V12 set up to sail me to the fishing holes.
Currently working on making a Helms 24 our coastal cruiser.

Can someone help me figure out how much effort to put into longboarding this beast?

Just read on another forum where a guy said an 80% finish will look good from 2 foot or more away. If you want that last 20% it will take 3-4 times longer and might cause the builder to give up resulting in another boat that never gets finished. I tend to agree with this but others very well could feel different. It is your boat so you make the call.

Here's my advice - go to a Boston Whaler dealership, or some other large production boat dealer near you, at dusk, with a flashlight. Check out those hulls for fairness for a bit, then go home and have another look at yours.

I bet you will suddenly find yours is a lot better than you realized.
I designed my own boat. This is the build thread:
