The water will condensate enough to form drips that follow the wire to the terminals and corrode faster. Maybe a little cotton string tied at the lowest points will direct the drips away. Works the same as a lightning rod but for moisture.
Thank you for the comment. This is not something I am familiar with. For inside the climate controlled cabin; less a concern. But in the batt box, I can think of a couple of places...

When I go to do the work on the starter batteries, I will keep this in mind. Thanks. Good to know. I will try to keep the bus and batteries higher.

Ouch. My wifi got me.

Been working on the aft beam locker.

3x the saddle was under vac, one time a hand laminate and now some 3m ex4511 and neoprene and it is bonded to the forward piece..

How to do the back? Dreaming is all here.

Gluing the face on. I don't have the top bolted on, so it was lucy goosey a bit, but it'll work.

Well, forward on the aft beam locker.

Today, lost time for mower maintenance. I have a 76hp perkins diesel 16' wide mower and it needs a grease job and 9 blades sharpened now n then.

It was 85F here today.

Here is the beam locker with a tape on the top. Woods said I can run a single panel on the back.

Start of day on in sole hatches. Just doing the hardware fitting. I have to use thickened resin to create a home for the hinges.

The downside of honeycomb is any raw edges need to be dealt with.

A second project. I will make a cabosil filler and attempt to pre-radius this thing before taping over it with woven tape.

What did you use to create the solid edge? Is that molded epoxy/cabosil mix or an off the shelf product?
