De25 build

Post by Pat4 »

Hi Guys,

After a few years of inactivity on boat building i’ve now started the DE25.
It will be a modified version. Just like my 2 previous boats.
I’ve been thinking of it for quite some time now; about how to.

Decided to give it a go and see how it all turns out....

Thanks for the OD16 pictures and have fun with the new boat building adventure.
Where in the Netherlands are you? I am born next door in Belgium and kept one of my boats in Veere, Zeeland.

Can't wait to see how you build it out.
Built: 15ft Skiff, 16ft Skiff, Modified Cheap Canoe, and an FS17.

Hi,
I’m living about 140 kilometers from Veere and 40 kilometers from Belguim. In a little town nearby Breda. In the hart of “De Biesbosch”. Lots of water; rivers, small lakes, creeks etc.

The changes I made to the original plans are:
Raised the sides 7”
Added 3,8 ft in length in order to put the outboard in a covered well. Total lenght now is 28,8 ft.
Changed the bottum from 3/8” into 1/2” thick ocoume ply
Put on a swimplatform.

All the above is already done and it looks good so far.
I will post some pictures later.

I guess a lot of you will tell me that this isn’t gonna work but I think it will. It has to because I allready did it. :D
