Hull fairing isnt done yet, but went ahead and flipped it. Got the seams taped and was going to glass the inside but dont have enough resin. Since we glassed the whole outside we used more than needed, but while I was gone he added 2 layers of 1708 biaxial with mat to the transom...which of course used a ton of resin and wasnt something I had planned. Putting a 25hp 2 stroke on but looks like it will be big enough to handle a 125 now. lol Thurs we will glass in the stringers and bulkheads and attach the rubrail. When that cures we will flip again, finish the bottom. Was amazed at how light it was even with all that extra glass and resin.

It's normal to use more resin when you build a boat with full glass.
That said, I would take your friend's keys to the warehouse away. No way this boat needs two extra layers of 1708 on the transom.

Its coming along pretty well. When I go back Thurs I will be bringing more epoxy, expanding foam and glass cloth. I am going to glass the deck and gunwales for added impact resistance. Just going to go with the 12oz on it. Maybe even 6oz. I will be adding more supports between the frames so not worried about flexing.

I'm not sure if you have seen my FS18 build?
I used 6 ounce glass on the sole, casting decks and gunwales.
It's a very solid boat.

I'm in agreement with Richard. I used 6oz. woven on the decks, gunwales, and sole, and the boat is solid as a rock. No need to go any heavier, in fact you could get away with even lighter cloth on those areas and be fine.... That being said, I'd love to see the 115 on that baby!!! Looking really good so far, build on. Mike

Was totally joking about the larger engine. There is about a 1/4 inch of glass on it now. I guess thats where all my resin went SMH
