Re: Coach's SC-16 in MA
Thanks Guys! I am very close to primer. Planning on this Friday after the fourth. Couple pics of rub rail details and a few of the grab bar chair my buddy at work fabricated for me out of 316 stainless. Thinking of contacting a local powder coater to see what the cost would be to coat in gloss black. Also planning to make backing boards and send them out for upholstery seat and back. What do you guys think?

I think your console/seat/grab bar combo looks very nice! What do you guys think?
The cushions will add the finishing touch.
Good luck with the primer, your boat looks great.

Do you think your friend would be interseted in fabricating stainless steel stern rails for my AD16 sailboat?

Can’t wait to get her primed and flipped Cape Man! Planned for this weekend.
Bogieman....I can ask him, this was more of a favor than a hobby. He would need all the dimensions on paper and I should mention the stainless is not polished...its more of a “handyman’s finish” so if you are looking for polished stainless rails you may want to look into marine fabricators near you in Florida. He is up here in NH.
I will have this chair powder coated gloss black so I was not concerned about swirl marks from weld grinds.

Cracker Larry swore by his friend Raymond's work, the contact information has been posted a few times somewhere. I think he's in the Savannah, Georgia area, not sure. He does beautiful t-top work, so I bet stern railings would not tax his abilities.
