Finally got most the parts I need to put a wheel on my console. Starting mock ups to see where I like it.

Do you mind sharing what type of helm pump you got?

Which helm did you buy and rear mount or front mount?

Well I looked at sea star and a couple different models. I went with a hydrodrive. That had good reviews and I like that the hoses and ram are fixed, and that the shaft moves. That is the opposite from a seastar, and it’s a couple hundred cheaper. Also since my console is only 16” wide I found a 11” spoke wheel. It fits perfect.

Thanks. Worth looking in to. I’ve been getting sweaty looking at the Sea Star price points.

The first cut is always the hardest. This is the before wheel as a tiller boat.

Wish me luck.

Also I found a prop I like and also ordered a set of smart tabs.

That first cut on your pretty build would be hard for me too. It would be a huge project for me 'cuz I struggle with the engine control/steering stuff but I've no doubt you'll be very happy with the console control when finished.

My measurement were spot on, but I think I need to split the throttle and the wheel on to different planes. I don’t like that I can bump into the controls.

Thoughts?
