cape man wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 5:26 am You are absolutely right about it not being an issue back there, and it does look good. Like I said, I only mentioned it after others suggested going further forward.
It was a 55lb thrust trolling motor. I rarely used it, and ended up giving it to an employee when it needed a new control module in the head. It's now on a 17' Key West skiff in northern California. It had just enough ass to move her around slowly while fishing a shoreline. I fished 3 different times out of Cocodrie with friends in their boats, and a trolling motor in the marsh creeks was the method we used.
I think I will be good as you did yours 8ft long correct mine are 10 .5ft

That looks familiar 8) One of the first trips in the boat I hit the skeg on a huge piece of limestone in the Alafia River. Was SO GLAD I added the shoe. It has served its purpose many times since.

You need to scratch it up and etch it with moonshine before the epoxy 8)

I have Skeg envy.
There are only two seasons in Vermont: boating season, and boat-building season.

Completed Paul Butler 14' Clark Fork Drifter
Completed Jacques Mertens FS14LS + 10%, Build Thread
Started Iain Oughtred Tammie Norrie
