This is a beautiful report about your first sail on the sea. How did you record the route together with the map ? Which plotter do you have installed ?
Congratulations to a beautiful finished Adelie.
Greetings from Karl
Thank you Karl! I have now joined the official “Adelie club”. Both are apps you can download on your phone for free. The weather report comes from “SailFlow “and the tracks/telemetry comes from” Waterspeed” Both recommended by our friend Jaysen

For some reason I picture you being like this guy the first sail. In the pictures you seem more laid back.

We went sailing again yesterday. It was a beautiful day on the water with calm seas and a steady onshore westerly wind that made it easy for us to go wherever we wanted. Here’s some pics along with our tracks. If you look close you can make out our friend (turtle ) doing a flyby/swim by 😀
Additional note: We’re not at all concerned about our speed. In fact, the “red” northeastern track was us drifting for an hour while enjoying a cold one and solving world problems.

Also: a big thanks (again) to Jaysen for explaining how I could use the boom/yard/ halyard as a topping lift to raise the boom up out of the way when not in use.
