Re: fs14_ls in the midwest
Sorry, my mistake. I thought this was the SK14. I didn't put a skeg on my FS14 LS either, but I never did put a motor on the boat, so not sure how it will handle.

Re: fs14_ls in the midwest
I was wondering if I should add one to mine, all the others I have seen didn’t show one so I wasn’t sure if it was needed or not, I plan on using a 20-25 hp on mine.

Re: fs14_ls in the midwest
I took a break from my boat build to build a truck for my son over the summer/fall. So I finally got to get back on my project. Just painted the bottom and also landed a great deal on a 25 mercury. I should have the top painted this next week.

Here is my sons truck I built. Not a bad rise for a 16 year old.

Nice ride for a young man. First vehicle is a biggie for a young fella.

Good looking boat and a fine ride for your son!
If I may ask, where did you score the 25hp motor? I've been looking around myself in the greater KC area.

Thanks guys, he loves it.
As for the motor I spent about a year searching and waiting on Craigslist and just so happened it was posted during week when I was off work so I could jump on it. I got it for 300.00 only needed an impeller. I really got lucky.

Getting really close to being in the water. Just a few final panels and fuel line.
