Interior paint is complete!
Foredeck needs to be sanded and faired, and then 1 or 2 more coats of blue:
Transom only has one coat of blue, since there was a bit more left in the roller tray:

It's always a good day when you can find your second wind (or third, or fourth etc) on a dormant project.

Adding the last bits
Oarlocks. I put them on the outside of the rubrail because I suspect I may be sitting between the mid-seat and the aft seat often.
Cutting out the forepeak hatch
Cutting out the aft seat hatch. It takes a leap of faith to cut holes into a boat that you have been building for literally years.
Cleats and fairleads for the downhaul and sprit tension lines
Rudder is hung
Using a temporary sail and PVC mast. Using this to sail it a few times to dial in the shape, then I'll use it as a pattern for the real sail and spars that I'll make later. Planning on splashing tomorrow!

I presume you mean while sailing--so they don't gouge your back?Oarlocks. I put them on the outside of the rubrail because I suspect I may be sitting between the mid-seat and the aft seat often.

Yup, exactly. I've obviously never sailed it yet, but it looked like a good, comfortable place to sit, especially since it's low. I think I can just spin on my butt when tacking, and use the gunwales as a backrest.

Some builders have put seats along the sides, port and starboard, but many small dinghies get by with the method you describe. Looking forward to how it goes, so be sure to post with videos/pictures if possible.

LAUNCH ANNOUNCEMENT!
On Saturday we splashed! Spent a couple hours sailing around the marina in light and variable winds. She floats! And she sails!
I even took a quick video with my phone to prove that with just the slightest bit of wind, she will move forward. Pretty impressive considering I am using PVC spars and a tarp sail right now:
