I bought the pad and strap cover support unit from West Marine. $40 and then spent $15 for a heavy 12 x 16 tarp and that has done the trick. Boat stays dry on the inside and the post can elevate so snow does not build up on the tarp.

I'm going to do the drain thing from front to back, but I also like the idea of protecting my investment. Can you give us the URL for that pad and strap cover support? Thanks
