Re: Jacques ob15?s
The question wasn't 7 years old though, it was today And a reasonable question....
But I didn't know the answer, and I try to only answer when I know the answerThu Sep 09, 2010 2:26 pm
If you wanted do have a big overhang like on a Mitzi, how would you do it? Could you just keeping adding 1 inch wide strips to make the rubrail stick out further? Or would it be better to just make the deck overhang more? Which would be stronger if a wave were to reach it?

Now you know why I didn't reply or tell how to do what was asked.....
Re: Jacques ob15?s
Whoops. It's really hard to get a Carolina flare on a small boat like the OB15. The flare is usually made by making slits in the side panels and increasing the height slightly of the side panels. It also requires changing the angle at the front of the side panel slightly. It's really not an easy thing to do.

Yeah I know it's an old post but it was something I've been thinking about when I start my OB15 build. Amazing how much info you can find if you dig through the old stuff. Thanks for the help guys.
