Re: dumb FS17 plans question
Would be hard to put into the nesting diagram since frame A is different in height for each different configuration of the FS17. ie...my center console has a "taller" frame A than a simple work skiff version would. After cutting all the parts on the nesting plan that don't vary you'll have lots of big pieces left. I think I just left the frame too tall and trimmed to finished height after flipping the boat and figuring out how high the sides would be. Alternately you could use a disposable frame A for the hull build and replace with the permanent one later as in the build notes.
Hope that helps a bit.

Re: dumb FS17 plans question
Correct, Frame A varies in height depending on the version.
The standard frame A fits on the 3rd vertical sheet of 3/8, between the rear part of the sole and the transom part.
There is at least 2" clearance all around.
There is also room on the last sheet, next to the stringers.
I only show nesting for the standard version, for all others, you need more plywood for the deck and a higher frame A.
