Re: XF 20 Build
thanks everyone and merry xmas! I used a 3 inch brush on the entire boat. no spraying or rolling. just brushed on then lightly tipped.
Re: XF 20 Build
Brush and tip. A new method to me. Looks good

not really any different then rolling and tipping. thin the paint properly, brush on a thin coverage on a small area then tip it off any imperfections and brush marks... how do you think they painted boats before the 50's.

Great job on your boat sir.
Merry Christmas to y’all.
My XF is docked 20ish miles south of Homosassa.
Hope to see your boat on the flats one of these days...

Hoping to catch up with you. Looks great! What are you going to power with and are you putting in a console? I just got first of 3 frames tabbed in today. Got a ways to go.

Re: XF 20 Build
thanks guys. I have a 50 tiller to put on it right now and also the mercury 75 4 stroke that i plan on putting on the back but it needs to visit the shop and get a tiller handle put on.
The temps had to be in the mid 70's when i topcoated, tough winter I know, since I'm in florida lol.
Kiwigrip got put on the front decks and gunwales.(dont mind the dirty hatches they need some bleech) This stuff is alot rougher then I had thought and a little too rough for my liking but it looks great and went on easy. going to finish the floor and rear deck once this rain clears out.

kiwigrip on the decks and gunwales. I went back and brushed a thin coat over the tacked up nonskid and it took some of the aggressiveness out. Should feel a little better on the bare feet. finishing the floor tomorrow then the rigging begins...

I really like the use of the two colors, really looks good.
