Lookin' great Dave, you'll be high-siding some keeper in no time! Love the wooden SUP in the background as well. I've considered building one as we do a lot of SUPing and it seems like a fun project. How does it compare to an epoxy production board for weight/performance?
There are only two seasons in Vermont: boating season, and boat-building season.

Hi VT Jeff,
I have not checked in for a bit. The SUP is 30 pounds and 14 feet long. Works well and very stable. Lava Falls sounds like a dream right now but I will eventually get there and experience that part of the canyon. I installed all of the bulkheads and fiberglassed them in with 12 oz biax tape and installed the laminated bow and stern posts. Getting ready to flip her over and fiberglass the bottom and sides. It got up to 60 degrees today so I rolled her out and cleaned up the garage.

Nice PapaDave!!! Great looking boat!!! Jeff
Re: Double Ender Grand Canyon Dory
Flipped her over, filled the seams, and rounded over the edges. Then applied 10 oz cloth to the sides and two layers of 12 oz biax to the chines, bow, and stern. Will apply two layers of 17 oz biax to the bottom next and then fair the exterior.

Coming along nicely!

Got a few things done over the last couple of weeks. The biggest job was putting down 2 layers of 17 oz biax on the bottom and chines. Since then I have been fairing, priming, and got the gunwales on the outside. Still working on finishing up the bottom and side fairing and then ready to flip upright once more for the interior.

Very nice. Looks like the glass work and fairing went well.
