Looking great Dave, very bold color scheme, that boat will be easy to find if it gets away from you in Lava Falls. :help:

What's the channel to the left of the guest seat for, maybe an anchor line? Also, is the guest foot-well self-bailing as well as the guide foot-well??

THAT"S a boat I can't wait to see in action!

Nice work!

Thank you everyone. Jeff, the slot is to hold a set of spare oars (oars pocket) that are fastened to the gunwale. Bold coloring for sure (orange and ivory paint with orange Seadek). Easier to find the pieces at the end of Lava Falls! :D

Enjoy that float Cape Man. Sounds like a great time with a friend. I had planned on finishing up this week but that did not occur. Still have to finish exterior paint stripes, last coat on interior, hatch hinges, etcetera, etcetera. Cut out four ash passenger grab handles and need to epoxy and varnish them. I had never machined ash, so that was fun and challenging to route the endgrain corners. I have also been working on a 24 feet Hawaiian outrigger canoe with some freshmen students new to boat building. We built it in three 8 feet bolt together sections for ease of transport. That project is coming along and they are going to show it at the WoodenBoat Festival at Mystic Seaport in late August. Should be a good experience for them.

Boat just needs some water (Not a Hurricane). Spent the weekend displaying the Dory at the Wooden Boat Show in Mystic this weekend before the storm rolled in. Great event and nice people. Wooden boat lovers all around. If you ever get a chance to visit Mystic Seaport it is well worth the time and effort. Here are you few shots of the dory. ( I sense a Panga 22 birth coming soon.)
