2020 Conchfish 16 for sale? $3,000?

So I didn’t create a build thread on here of my latest.. but with the huge help of Chris Beutel and Doni, we were able to finish the final touches on this beauty around 0300 this morning. The buyer was coming at 0400 to take it back to the beautiful Everglades to spend its life catching snook and tarpon.

Here she is at 0300 when we finished.

Here she is on I95 about 30-45 minutes later.

And what is left of her.

That is just a crying shame. There has to be more to the story so please share.

My buddy was rear ended by a car going around 90 mph on I95.

I am wondering how you will come up with a value for him to be made whole, well as much as he can be made whole. All that time and work and do not even get to run it once

That is a you pay me deal. Sorry, but so badly damaged it is really a ton of work to fix.

Hope there is insurance of some kind.

Fuzz I’m not sure. I do think I might order a bunch of flex seal tape to fix it.

Losing a new boat you just bought would be bad enough but losing one with that much blood, sweat and tears invested really sucks. The only good thing is maybe there will be something to learn by looking at what failed where and why? Very small ray of hope I know.

I have a lot of hours in that boat. It sucks for jimmy bc today was the first time he saw it and had never even been in it. I would like to learn on what can be better but when a bulkhead that’s has 1208 or 1708 tape on it just shears completely in half in the middle of the tape, you know there was some force.

Cape man, I know it does brother. I’m going to try and build another for him. I don’t know how many more skiffs I have in me lol
