When referring to drawings; you are supposed to reference a page or drawing number and generally refrain from posting copyrighted drawings. Otherwise we have to search all the drawings if we are willing to help you.

Same dimension as the drawing to the right. 19.75" imperial or 500mm or so; use the same number as the drawing to the right on page 23 for the tr mold.

All good. Make sure you look through the notes on the ply build section. This boat is going to be hard to build in plywood. You will have lots of fairing and filling before you can even glass. I am a bit worried you will fail at that point for the difficulties. A way to make it easier is to strip plank, or to reduce the width of ply planking so it is easier to grind/sand/fair the surfsce to prep for glass.

One fella here is strip building the boat and his build is actually really great. He laid all the strips and then is using epoxy putty in between as one gluing session.

See page 16. That is the scary page in the book. Most all that batten work goes away if you make narrower strips. And if you build in foam; shaping that is a dream and fun and all done with a 4" wide longboard, not hogging machines.

I only copied this so people understand why I am not a fan of the plywood. It is a nasty amount of labor. And the boat is curves for about 2/3rds of the surface; not just here at the transom.

Here are all the places you will need to prefair and smooth for glass (white lines). Using foam; this prep is maybe two days. Using plywood is about two weeks I'd say(maybe 4-6 weeks as plywood so hard). Be aware.

I'd use 18mm moulds. Make sure and use 20 stations for the foam. After setting up, use a batten board to verify the moulds are fair.

You must use the plus stations for foam, but much, much easier to build and a nicer boat. The Gurit M foam is even easier to fair.

You may be the wisest boat builder I have ever encountered because you took good advice. Many don't and then they fail.

The gurit pvc is easy to fair; almost too easy, the polar opposite of the plywood. You will need to be a bit careful with your approach and not over abrade pvc, but it will be a joy to work with. I am glad you looked at page 16 a bit. It is sort of frightening. That level of work is needed for moulds, and for a single one off hull jist too much, imo.

The one builder who did this build here later wished he had done some ribbands at the areas of heavy curvature at the bow. That is something for you to consider. The pvc has a tad less flexural strength than the M foam. However, the datasheets are a bit odd and don't agree. Not sure why, but the M foam is stiffer.

If you ever need to reach me quicker, you can facebook or use some other methods. This can be a bit slow. If you want to email me. Fallguy1000 At hotmail dot com. I can vip you and get a text message to respond quicker for you.
