I think Jacques needs to answer the station spacing question. I have mentioned the confusion before between the lines drawing and the station spacing reference.
There are two very important build threads you need to read and understand on the lb26. One on the transom
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63153&p=434016&hili ... om#p434016
And one on a plan correction. Largely semantics, but may help you avoid troubles.

Re: LB26 Questions from a newbie
For Jacques-this fellow is confused between references to the lines drawing that show 355mm or 14" half spaces and the references to mould spacing in the building notes page one for foam sandwich hull that suggest 18" spacing.
I don't want to answer it because I am not 100% and have been confused on the issue before.
20 stations at 14"=280" about 23 feet
10 stations at 18"=180", not nearly enough, so I assume the 18" reference in the building notes is an error?

Re: LB26 Questions from a newbie
The plans show stations spaced every 18" or 355 mm. Use that for foam core. I missed the whole discussion about foam type but as long as you go with a well known marine foam with the same specs,you will be fine. Some foams are stiffer, score them or transition to battens (longitudinal cuts) at the bow and stern.
I agree with the putty mix, BBC sells it pre-mixed.

18"=457mm
14"=355mm
As polite as I can be. I think the 18" from the notes is wrong, no?
Re: LB26 Questions from a newbie
You are correct. I am on the road and reply from a phone. I don't have the plans and base my answers on memory. I remember the 18" spacing.

Re: LB26 Questions from a newbie
Well, I have always been confused about it. The 18" spacing makes no sense to me because the waterline would be 18"x10 stations or 180" which is only 15 feet and on half stations is 30'.
Otoh, at 14" half spacings, 20 stations is 280" or 23.3' which is much closer to waterline length of the hull.

Dear friends ,
I have some questions;
Firstly i would like to learn about how i am going to fiberglass the hull.Where is the lamination schedule for it?
(Howmany layer will be needed to cover on hull and which type of fiber glases etc.)
Secondly, which foam board is better GURIT,AIREX or MARICELL ?Which i have to choose?
Lastly,can tell me the distance between the bow point to first mold is 374 mand then 355 mm between rest of all molds?
Thx and Regards

Re: LB26 Questions from a newbie
The glassing schedule is on the back pages of the construction manual. You need to do some practice work first or find an experienced laminator to help you. Error in workmanship on the hull bottom is critical and can lead to hydraulic failures. Air entrainment is a no-no. I can give you advice, but performance is something else. The good news is there are laminators in Turkey and you might find a person who can help and teach you for a small fee.Fatih wrote: ↑Thu Feb 11, 2021 1:18 pm Dear friends ,

The choice of marine foam is yours, but you want good shear properties and need to compare them to the divinycel spec.
I can check the measurements later when I am by the books.
