Hi Chris TomW1 back from my trip I think you are making the right choice, reading through what everything that you have said while I was gone. A Yamaha F115 would pair nicely as it has a VTS which allows you to select trolling speeds between 650-900rpm's. If I were you I would get the 25" and have the higher transom for more safety in following seas if you get is some rough water.
