Hi guys, I have problem with right transom position. I searched the forum for an answer and found the same problem in older topic - Topwaters NV23. Here is his photo:

Is this the correct position? Does that mean I have to bevel the edge in the middle part of transom?

I have different (higher) transom position. May by I have problem with motorwell side panels - is there angle 90°?
Jacques, see link please - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oQRux- ... sp=sharing

But BL is right - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kzaJyp ... sp=sharing

Your picture looks good to me. You will fill the gap with epoxy putty but what I see is properly lined up.

Jacques,
you (may be) saw transom of Topwater NV23. My transom with "orange line/bottom ply" is here >>> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LpcIlN ... sp=sharing
Do you see it? My transom is too high. If I let it go below so I have a problem with motorwell sides position. Can it be problem with motorwell sides angles? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oQRux- ... sp=sharing

It looks like your transom is too high. You can move it or grind it down. Apply a side panel first, loose, and see if it fits the transom. From there. decide if you want to move it down or grind it down.
I don't know why it sticks out. It's probably a very small shift somewhere.

About the motorwell side:
my drawings are dimensioned in imperial first with a 1/8" dimension tolerance. 1/8 = 3 mm.
That bottom line is almost perpendicular to the vertical one. The difference makes a 1/8" difference on the transom corner. Since my tolerance is 1/8, that dimension shows as 0 in imperial and I don't show it but in metric, it is 2.9 mm.
Bottom line, cut it at 90 degrees and trim to fit if you care.
In that building method, we want gaps. Epoxy needs gaps and the strength comes from the fiberglass tabbing not from a tight fit.

Bottom line: try to find out why the transom is too high by applying a side panel.
Once you know, either trim or move the transom and finally, adjust the motorwell side panel.

A few photos from last year for you. My construction season is only 6 months a year due to the temperature - the work is slow. I´m waiting impatiently for spring.

I will limit myself a bit on the Internet until the end of the year, so I wish now. All the best!

Looks like great progress to me!

Good luck for continuing the build in 2024!
