Hb 20 stringers

Post by Johnhb20 »

Just starting to cut out the stringers for the hb20 from the nesting I make out 4 stringers, I thought that there was only 2 in the middle. and only cleats on the outside panels if someone can put me right that would be great. Thanks John.

Only a guess, but many stringers are laminated or two glued to make one. Perhaps check the building notes.

And you have to stagger the joints. I asked about this on the HB16 a few months ago.

Hi boys back with a query again by the way fallguy1000 am working out how to post photos . My query being on the hb20 cutting out the stringers have found that the three cuts at bow end of the stringers doesn’t s mirror the side panel cut out. Have checked measurements on plans a number of times seem to be ok, any ideas where I am going wrong. Thanks John.

John the stingers won't mirror the side panels as they will be shorter. Just cut them per plan and you will be fine.

Thanks fallguy1000 will set up some cutouts and take some photos still to cold here to cure epoxy will be right in about 3 weeks.
Thanks for your come back Tom I knew the stringers would be a bit shorter with the meeting up of the transom and bow sheets , but the angles of the stringers don't match the outside panels angles. But will continue as per plan and put it together and enjoy the the project.
Thanks Guys.
