We accidentally bought a gross of crab nets a few years ago and if anyone wants to use some we will be glad to bring extra. My wife and granddaughter would rather crab than fish.

There was no alcohol involved. I'll explain how it happened out the meet. I also got about 5 pounds of lead sinkers for three dollars at the same time.

Just came back from vacation: I was really close, around Pensacola FL.
It will be Gautier then, my campground reservation will be used (I like to travel with my 2 bedroom 2 baths 5th wheel . . . getting old).

Nort, when you say crab nets, do you mean folding crab traps? The type with a ring? We use only traps around here but I am curious. I love garlic crabs.

Checked out the City park and boat ramp on Google: it looks like a good place to meet.
I will bring two canopies for shade.
And a cooler.

yes, the ring nets that you put a chicken neck in. If you hang them up, you just leave them. The net is cotton and rots away. We'll bring a couple of dozen, that should be enough to spread around.

They can be real fun. Nothing like a couple of squealing little girls with tongs chasing loose crabs down the dock trying to catch them and put them in the bucket.

Yall need to teach those girls how to pick them up with their fingers. Don't need tongs for a crab  They'll learn pretty quick which end bites.
