"that it isn't just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident. It all depends." "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it."

Say, I think I'm going to go back through this thread and edit/add a few details...is there a way to have the YouTube links appear on the post?
(So you can see an image of the video to click)
Anybody know how to do that?

Copy the URL from You Tube, then click the You Tube button above and to the right end of your post, then paste. That is the way it is supposed to work; but sometimes I see only the URL and not the image. I haven't sorted out why.

Re: AD-14
you need to use the "sharing url" not the the big long one (in my experience).
This is the full... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xBkix0fN24
This is the sharing... https://youtu.be/3xBkix0fN24
To embed you use the youtube tag
That would look like this
which shows up like

The long URL would look like
and renders like

As you can see, the sharing URL is what you should use.
This is the full... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xBkix0fN24
This is the sharing... https://youtu.be/3xBkix0fN24
To embed you use the youtube tag
Code: Select all

Code: Select all

Re: AD-14
Great, Bondo. I have found it is very difficult to take nice shots of the spinnaker from the boat, so maybe one of these days you can get someone ashore to take the video. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see it.

Thanks Jeff, thanks Terrulian. I too would like to see video of the design from shore. One of these days I will post.
My 2nd sail with a spinnaker. I don't really know what I'm doing but I love the extra horsepower.
Launching and retrieving the spinnaker from the left side is easy...
(I have flown the right side but it was awkward. I haven't worked out how I should best do it)
