I need to get some cold cure epoxy. Easy enough.
But I also need a 5 minute epoxy that is at high strength in like an hour.
Devcon is a failed company for problems. I have a couple tubes of it here I don't trust.
Any advice?
Cold weather and super fast epoxy.

I haven't found a 5 minute epoxy that made a good, long lasting adhesive, maybe they're out there.

Out of curiosity how much do you need? A lot or for some spot welds?fallguy1000 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 8:45 pm I need to get some cold cure epoxy. Easy enough.

I want small amount for mounting pads. There are times I don't want to put screws in the 12mm foam panels where I don't trust the screw would not tear out. Seems ridiculous to wait an entire day to put something together if I want to mount 2 or four 2" square pads of coosa or corelite.
The cold cure is available thru Systems 3. I plan to buy some of it. I just need to plan the quantity. I have some structural tapes to do. I would also like to seal some wood edges this winter.

Even if you can't heat your entire space a small heater aimed directly at the work area may let you use the same products you would use in higher temps.

The scale is the issue.
A large area of fairing in April is the wish when temps are in the 40s.
I have some cleats to apply as well and the surrounding areas are rather large.
I can let the epoxy mostly kick and apply it like a raped monkey, but that doesn't help me do it well. And the cleats need to be taped on and the area is nearly impossible to isolate.

I can’t remember who it was on here that was looking for a super fast, strong and permanent adhesive?

I have a few foam/glass and wood/pvc areas I did not get done here and it looks like I could maybe use this stuff vs 5200.
I'll do some more thorough reading tonight.
Impeller repair time.
