Use stainless steel screws. Drill and countersink.
Outdoor kitchen I built with black starboard boxes. All screwed together, no glue.

Pretty cool kitchen. I would always use mechanical fastenings. He will need to keep fish goo contained, so some sealant needed.

My 15 year old starboard fish cleaning table at the fishing shack could probably have benefited from some 4200 sealant.
Definitely would not pass FDA hygiene standards. :lol:
