Hi!
Unfortunately, I may not be able to finish the ship this year. I don't have a heated garage. The cooler weather has arrived, (15 degrees Celsius and below) and I don’t know if I dare to risk and use the epoxy. I thought I’d cover the boat and heat it underneath, but I don’t know if it was a good idea.I used glued sr5550, laminated with sr8500 resin. There’s not much resin left, but for the sake of good quality, I might leave it for spring. Possibly
can you recommend a structural glue with which I can glue the floor and can be used in cold weather? In any case, I will show you some pictures of the current state.

Damn that's some clean work.
Building in the northeast US I use a forced air propane heater in the winter. You can just run it for the few hours you need to get the epoxy to set if you want to save money on propane, but it's also nice just to work in a shop that isn't freezing. They run off BBQ propane tanks and are intended for construction sites.
Something like this, maybe you have a local equivalent: https://www.amazon.com/Mr-Heater-MH60QF ... B00KRFVDP4
Good idea to have a carbon monoxide detector in the space if you use one, but mine has never triggered it even running for quite a while.

Hi!
Thanks for the reply.
Well, I solved the heating by insulating the garage a bit, covering the boat, and getting a 600w infrared panel and a 3300w industrial heater.
I can do very good heat with this. There was 2 degrees Celsius outside in the yard
I glued the decks, made a radius, and continued
Dear Jacques !!
I would like to ask!
I will be gluing side frames soon
I did two rehearsals. The gunwales will be about 15cm.
The upper half of the cow will be about 12cm. The lower half is 2cm in one picture and 5cm in the other piece.
Does it matter what the lower part of the side frame is?
I like it better if it’s smaller, it doesn’t take up much space from the deck.
Bigger turn I think is stronger.
What do you think?

Minimum 3 inch width for frames is typical.

Yes, you can use the triangular shaped braces/frames under the gunwales. If you are going to reduce the width at the bottom you may need to increase the thickness of the plywood or perhaps double the plywood to get adequate support.
Gunwales will likely at some time be used as seats or to stand on so it is important that the support is substantial.

Some really nice looking work here! Hope you're able to carry on through the cold.
There are only two seasons in Vermont: boating season, and boat-building season.

Thank you very much!
I want to do this to look good and be strong.

Hi!
If I didn't build gunwales,
how narrow do you think side stiffeners can i do?
I would use 9mm plywood or 20mm thick larch.
This is actually just a theoretical question as I plan to build gunwales but I am curious.
Thank you. Dennis

Hello!
I was moving slowly in the winter. But the weather is good and the boat will be ready soon. The bottom of the boat is already painted. I paint the side at the very end. I am now doing the inside, primer is ready and I have painted the lids once.
