CS materials

Post by Karlo »

Im planning to buy and build but before that I need to check for materials because prices are outrageous in my area.
For CS-23, CS-25 or CX-25 if I want to use foam for hull material (Divinycell H80) what will I use for stringers, bulkheads and transom, is there also other type of foam to use?
So far Im planning to increase transom to put twin motors.

Karlo, you will have to work through your suppliers.
You can build those boats from foam sandwich and Divynicell is available in Europe, not necessarily in Croatia.
For the frames, stringers and other parts you will use the same Divynicell or a higher density.
For the transom, you will use a high compression strength foam.
Find a supplier. Germany is not that far and has all that. I know von de Linden for example but they are not cheap.
Find a supplier first, see what they have and I will check if you can use what they propose.

You need some 24# density minimum core for transom, unless JM wants 26#.

For the transom, please find high density foam for the core.
