HEIGHT while building?

Post by ncsailors »

What is the overall VERTICAL HEIGHT,
of GT23, external, from underside of hull
to topside of pilot house? This is important
for us "gargage builders"! Any chance
one could squeeze it out of a 7´ garage
door opening?

Fred

The boat has 6´ 2" standing headroom plus 6" draft. The cockpit is self bailing that means the sole is above the waterline. Thas means 6´2 plus 6" = 6´ 8" plus the level of the cockpit above the waterline in this case 4" = 7´!!!
Too risky IMHO BUT there maybe a solution: build the hull inside and install the roof outside?
