GV13 Progress Pics

Post by DaveProka »

Hi,

Here's a couple more pics of the GV13 in progress. I've got the deck on and taped and faired the splice lines with QuickFair. Used a Power Planer by Black & Decker to take off the edges of the rubrail to a flat with the sides and the tops of frame arms. Glued blocks to frame arms and a cross member in bow to support the 8" deck up front. A 3/4" cove molding finishes off the interior edge of the deck. The console is just sitting there, it was faired with QuickFair. Worked pretty good. I'm getting there. That's more dust in the pics. This sanding never ends!

Thanks Plugger. I love the decals by the way. I also have a question for you and everybody else. When attaching a deck, would you glass it down with 4" tape around the motorwell and rear bulkhead (the quarterseats)? I haven't done it yet, but I'm wondering if it's wise to rely on the thickened epoxy glue alone.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Glue, filet and tape is what I would do on every seam....
