I'm wondering how well it steers like that. seems to me that making the front pontoon stationary and putting the motor in the rear to steer like other boats would work better...

what do you guys think?

He needs the motor weight forward to prevent the front end from being too light and steering like a Chevy Corvair on the highway used to. Gives that front pontoon a little more "traction"? But also prevents it from handling any waves at speed. Holy smoke think about this thing hitting a wake.

It looks like it has a stationary mounted outboard under the driver, and the forward pontoon appears to be fixed. There is a shaft and a brace entering the water at the rear of the craft..makes me think it has a rudder.

It looks like he is turning the front float.

At the end when it is on the trailer it's hard to see what is on the back strut --maybe someone with one of those big high def monitors can tell us.

Too much rake on the forks. Steering doesn't work the same way on water as it does with a wheel on pavment. Nosediving in turns would have to be a problem.

Check out the video. You will se an airfoil on the bottom of the front pontoon. Helps to steer from what I see. Pontoon is not even touching water on the turns. ???
