FS 14 limber holes

Post by donk »

Before I reinstall my frames I realize that limber holes should be drilled, filled and redrilled.

I am considering installing a partial sole like Muscrat100 did, from stringer to above the chine.

I want the middle seat dry so a channel needs to be built. Can I use half of a 2" PVC pipe? What is required? Rough up the pipe, fillet in place and glass over it? Is 2" big enough? That will allow for about a 3/4" hole.
